The holiday season is rapidly approaching and with it, inclement winter weather is soon to reach the City of Laredo. The Laredo Next Generation Rotary Club continues to give back to the community to spread the love and the Christmas spirit by giving back to the community and to those in need. The Laredo Next Generation Rotary Club hosted its annual Street Store. This event helped people experiencing homelessness in Laredo, Texas. The event took place Saturday Dec. 9 from 8:30 a.m. thru 12 p.m. at Bethany House located in 817 Hidalgo.
The Club donated winter clothing, including jackets, socks, scarfs for both men and women in need to help navigate through the Texas winter. Approximately 75 men and women benefited from the event. The local organization “Misfits 4x4 of Laredo”, partnered with the Laredo Next Generation Rotary, to donate blankets and toiletries.
