The Laredo Next Generation Rotary Club donated Thanksgiving meals to 11 families of Ligarde Elementary. Every meal included: Turkey, dinner rolls, drink, green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy mix, potatoes and potato flakes, stuffing mix and cornbread mix, bag of beans, and ingredients to make peanut butter candies (corn flakes, peanut butter, corn syrup). The items were donated by club members and the South Texas Food Bank. This in-kind donation totaled over $500.00 and took place on November 15th in celebration of Thanksgiving. On this day, the children and families received their Thanksgiving meals with much appreciation.
